The story follows Himura Kenshin, a peaceful wandering swordsmen, during the Meiji era. Kenshin during his travels meets a female kendo master, Kaoru Kamiya, who is in trouble at the time with a person claiming to be the legendary assassin, Hitokiri Battosai. Kenshin saves Kaoru and it revealed that he is the true Hitokiri Battosai and the man claiming to be him is a fake. Kaoru, after learning who Kenshin is welcomes him to her dojo, where the story unfolds revealing Kenshin's dark past. Kenshin faces old and new enemies but also makes new friendships during the story. This story has tons of action and a well planned plot that its a pretty hard to not like the anime. If you enjoy sword fights and some light comedy once a while then this anime is for you.
I know this is a very well-known anime, but sadly, I have yet to watch it. It's on my list for sure, and there was also a live action movie of this, which was pretty awesome. Thanks for sharing

ReplyDeleteIt is a good anime and I know considered a classic but while I enjoyed watching it once it is not one that I care to revisit and watch again like the others I consider great. To be honest most of it I have forgotten I watched it about 4 years ago.
